Project brief
The challenge was to build a miniature suspended tramway using salvaged materials, including a nine-volt motor and a vehicle with minimum size and mass constraints.

Motor development
Several custom rotor designs were fabricated and tested. The second version reduced mass and power consumption, revealing the trade-off between speed, stability and available battery power.

Mechanical design
The vehicle was inspired by a TIE Interceptor. Wheels, supports and attachment parts were designed in SolidWorks, manufactured and adapted to the suspended track.

Outcome
Iterative testing led the team to combine custom-fabricated mechanical components with the school-provided motor to achieve a more stable working system.
